La Liga has announced its Team of the Season for the 2022-23 campaign and Barcelona have five players in the XI.
The Catalan giants have clinched the title with four games left after a brilliant season under Xavi.
Barcelona have been outstanding defensively this season, letting in only 13 goals in the league so far, which is the best record in Europe. Therefore, three of the five are from the backline.
The team includes goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and defenders Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde.
Also in the team is midfield maestro Pedri and La Liga’s leading scorer Robert Lewandowski.
The Polish striker has scored 21 goals so far this season and is ahead of the pack for the Pichichi. He has a four-goal cushion over Karim Benzema with just four games remaining.
The rest of La Liga’s Team of the Season are: Nahuel Molina, Eder Militao, David Garcia, Gabri Veiga, Fede Valverde, Mikel Merino, Luka Modric, Antoine Griezmann, Benzema and Vini Jr.
