‘Bishop Cathedral’: Alfred Kojo Thompson Jeers Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa

NPP member accuses MP of targeting National Cathedral project
Alfred Kojo Thompson

NPP member Alfred Kojo Thompson has accused the Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency of embarking on a mission just to paint the Akufo-Addo government black.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been pursuing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s foreign travels on rented jets and the National Cathedral project. Thompson claims that Ablakwa only wants to tag the first gentleman of the land corrupt.

“Bishop Cathedral” is the new nickname for Ablakwa according to Thompson. He made this statement on TV3‘s New Day on Monday, May 8 after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmaker spoke on his alleged exposés on the National Cathedral project following his trip to the United States of America (USA).

On Monday, May 8, Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa released Episode 4 of his publication, accusing the registered directors of the National Cathedral of Ghana and the Bible Museum Foundation, Inc of lawlessness in not filing their tax returns for the past two years. He posted on his official Twitter page that all the three directors – Dr Vernon Darko, Eric Okyere Darko and Dr Paul Opoku-Mensah – have failed to file their tax returns since May 3, 2021.

Thompson said all these attempts to target the National Cathedral project despite responses from the Secretariat and consequently draw in the government are aimed at painting it black.
