The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has re-elected Kofi Adams as its parliamentary candidate for Buem constituency for the 2024 general elections. Kofi Adams beat his rival, Babs Adamu by 11 votes in Saturday’s primaries.
Buem MP Kofi Adams secures NDC ticket for 2024 polls. The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has confirmed Kofi Adams as its parliamentary candidate for Buem constituency for the 2024 general elections.
The sitting Member of Parliament for Buem beat his main rival, Babs Adamu by 11 votes in Saturday’s primaries.
Kofi Adams, a former National Organiser of the NDC, first contested and won the party’s primaries in 2019 ahead of the 2020 general elections.
He then ousted the then-incumbent MP, Daniel Kosi Ashaimah with 388 votes.
He maintained his seat in December 2020 general elections with 18,528 votes, which is 71.84% of the total votes cast. His nearest competitor, Lawrence Kwami Aziale of the New Patriotic Party got 6,843 votes, which is 26.5% of the total votes cast.
