Rose May Alaba, a recording artist and songwriter from Austria, has announced her intention to visit Ghana in the near future.
May, who is the sister of Real Madrid footballer David Alaba, revealed her plans on Twitter on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, when a fan asked her when she would come to Ghana after she posted about her trip to Nigeria.
She joked that she might be able to end the long-standing rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana over which country has the best jollof rice.
“I’m Coming to Ghana Too! No cheating. Maybe I can finally end the Jollof war between Nigeria ??? and Ghana,” she tweeted.
She did not specify the exact dates for her visits to both countries. However, she hinted that she would have Meet and Greet events with her fans in both places.
Rose May Alaba is known for her hit song Love Me Right, which topped the Austrian iTunes chart for more than four weeks in 2016. She was born to a Nigerian father and a Filipino mother in Austria, just like her brother Alaba.
She also sang the theme song for the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games, which took place in Austria.
