Many people have assumed that Dr. Louisa Satekla, the spouse of popular Dancehall artist Stonebwoy, is also his manager. However, she has set the record straight by explaining that she only handles the ‘Livingstone Foundation’ and not his entire brand.
She revealed this during an appearance on The Day Show, where she expressed her astonishment at how people came to believe that she was in charge of Stonebwoy’s career.
She said, “I only take care of the ‘Livingstone Foundation,’ but Stonebwoy has a whole team of managers. I’m not sure how that story started, but everyone seems to have bought it. I think he once made a joke about ‘Management 101,’ and since then, people just assumed I was the manager.”
Dr. Louisa admitted that it would be difficult for her to manage Stonebwoy alone, given that she is a mother of two with her own responsibilities and workload. She also acknowledged that Stonebwoy is a big brand that requires a team effort.
She said, “Right now, I have a lot on my plate, so managing Stonebwoy would be hard because he is a huge brand. I think a team works better.”
The misconception about Dr. Louisa’s role as Stonebwoy’s manager has been around for years, following previous changes in Stonebwoy’s management team.
In 2017, Stonebwoy parted ways with Karl Gid, their former manager, over a disagreement on revenue sharing, and Blakk Cedi took over as his official manager.
In 2019, Stonebwoy confirmed a split with Blakk Cedi, saying that Blakk Cedi now acts as his agent after a restructuring within their camp. He did not disclose further details to the media about the changes in their management structure.
Dr. Louisa’s clarification highlights her role in running the ‘Livingstone Foundation’ and emphasizes that there is a dedicated management team behind the Stonebwoy brand.
