GEPA launches ‘Ghana Trade House in Kenya to boost AfCFTA

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) has launched a new trade and business center in Kenya called the ‘Ghana Trade House’ as part of its first market trade expedition to the East African country.

The center aims to facilitate the export of Ghanaian goods and services to Kenya and promote the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The center will also serve as a platform for Ghanaian exporters to showcase their products and connect with potential buyers in Kenya.

The launch of the ‘Ghana Trade House’ was one of the key events that marked the trade expedition, which also included engagements between the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).

To establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for mutual recognition and acceptance of standards to ensure efficient trade and regulatory compliance between Ghana and Kenya.
