Mona Faiz Montrage, a Ghanaian socialite also known as Hajia 4Reall, is facing a $2 million romance scam case in the U.S. She was extradited from the U.K. on May 12, 2023, after being arrested there on November 10, 2022.
The prosecution claims that Hajia 4Reall targeted lonely and elderly Americans in her alleged online dating fraud scheme.
She appeared in a Manhattan federal court on Monday, 15th May 2023, for her alleged role in multiple romance scams.
Her lawyer, Adam Cortez, said that there were six alleged victims in the case, but only one of them said that he interacted with Ms. Montrage.
