Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef who won the first ‘Jollof Faceoff’ contest in August 2021, is on her way to breaking the world record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual”.
The current record holder is Lata Tondon, an Indian chef who cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds in Rewa, India in 2019.
Baci began her four-day cooking challenge on May 11 at the Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos State. She has been cooking for over 87 hours and still going strong.
She is aiming to make history with the support of Nigerians who have been cheering her on both online and offline.
Many Twitter users have also joined the campaign to encourage Baci in her quest.
