How Joana Gyan Cudjoe became NDCs candidate for Amenfi Central

Musician’s wife clinches NDC ticket for Amenfi Central. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the spouse of renowned artiste Keche Andrew, as its parliamentary candidate for the Amenfi Central constituency.

She defeated four other aspirants in a resounding victory that saw her garner 1,486 votes from the delegates.

This is her maiden political venture and the first time a woman has contested in the constituency that has been dominated by men.

She faced several challenges during her campaign, but she overcame them with the help of party leaders such as Hannah Bissiw and former Amenfi Central MP, Hon George Arthur.

She expressed her readiness to win the seat for the NDC in the 2024 general election and to improve the living conditions of the people in Amenfi Central. She said her manifesto focuses on empowering children, men and women among other development initiatives for the region.

Her husband, Andre Keche, took to his social media platforms to congratulate her and promise his support for her journey.
