Some residents of Wa Central Constituency who are receiving treatment at the Upper West Regional Hospital got a surprise visit and financial assistance from Hudu Mogtari, an aspiring parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Hudu Mogtari expressed his sympathy and compassion for the patients and assured them of his commitment to improve their living conditions. He also urged them to stay positive and hopeful for a speedy recovery.
He told the press that he was a native of the constituency and he understood the challenges and needs of the people. He said he was contesting for the NDC ticket to bring about positive change and development in the area.
“I want to make a difference in the lives of our people and ensure that they have access to quality health care, education, and employment opportunities. I am asking for the trust and support of the delegates to make this vision a reality,” he said on Saturday, May 6.
He also promised to empower the youth in the constituency and help them acquire skills and knowledge that would enable them to contribute to the development of the area.
The NDC will hold its primaries on Saturday, May 13, to select new parliamentary candidates for all constituencies and a new presidential candidate for the 2024 general election. The party hopes to wrestle power from the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP).
