The third Ghana Investment and Opportunity Summit (GHIOS) will take place in London in June 2023, attracting over 800 business leaders from around the world.
The summit aims to facilitate fruitful discussions among international investors, venture capitalists, and private equity fund managers who are interested in Ghana’s economy. The summit will also showcase various sectors of Ghana’s economy that offer profitable and feasible investment opportunities, and connect local businesses with potential international partners.
The summit is organized by the Ghana High Commission, UK in collaboration with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, and will last for two days at the London Hilton on Park Lane. The theme of the summit is “Post Covid Economic Recovery: Opportunities for the Investor”. The Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will lead a delegation of industry experts and business executives to present Ghana as the preferred destination for doing business in Africa.
The summit will focus on key sectors such as Finance, Digitalisation, Agriculture, Energy, Manufacturing, Tourism, and Diaspora Mobilisation. Ghana is one of the most resilient and attractive economies in West Africa, according to the 2020 World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Report and the EY African Attractiveness Index.
Ghana has a stable political environment, a conducive business climate, a strong private sector, a skilled workforce, a transparent regulatory framework, and excellent transport connections to Europe and the USA. Ghana is also home to the headquarters of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCTFA), which offers a huge market potential for investors.
As Ghana strives to recover from the impacts of the global pandemic and maintain its status as one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies, it welcomes global investors to join its journey and explore the abundance of investment opportunities.
