Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Jnr, the CEO of Kantanka Group, has expressed his sorrow and frustration over the death of a policeman in a bullion van robbery at Ablekuma Fanmilk. He said that the tragedy could have been avoided if the Interior Ministry had not seized Kantanka’s bullion vans.
The CEO posted a tweet to convey his sympathy and condemn the alleged confiscation of their bullion vans by the Interior Ministry. He said that he was saddened by the loss of a life while Kantanka’s bullion vans were sitting idle at the Interior Ministry.
His tweet said, “This bullion van robbery could have been prevented. So sad to see this. A father/son/husband losing his life while @KantankaAuto bullion vans have been seized by the Interior Ministry.”
The policeman who died was Callistus Amoah, who was shot multiple times by a gunman while he was sitting in the front seat of a bullion van that had gone to collect money from a popular fuel station at Ablekuma.
A CCTV video that has gone viral shows four men on two motorbikes, targeting the policeman in the white van and shooting him until he died.
