A Tamale-based start-up that makes low-cost, eco-friendly, and compostable sanitary pads has won the EU’s 2023 Circular Economy Competition.
The start-up, Kodu Technology, received ¢100,000 in seed funding from the EU to expand its business. The competition aimed to support circular economy start-ups in Ghana by enhancing their productivity, competitiveness, and investment readiness.
The final episode of the entrepreneurship TV show featured the EU Ambassador to Ghana, Irchad Razaaly, as a Guest judge, along with experienced startup judges Amma Gyampo – ScaleUp Africa, Simon Turner – Founders’ Institute.
