Kwabena Kwabena, a renowned Ghanaian Highlife artist, has confessed that he regrets getting married at the age of 20, as it cost him some precious years of his life.
The singer of Aso fame disclosed this in a recent interview with Zionfelix, where he said he should have focused more on his budding career at that time instead of tying the knot.
“I feel like I robbed myself of some part of my life at some point.
“The reason why I say that is because when I was 26 or 27, around that time, I think what I should have done was to concentrate on my career and not let anything distract me from my path,” he said.
Kwabena Kwabena stated that he is grateful to have a second chance at life now, despite missing out on some opportunities to enjoy his life back then.
The musician stressed that he is now more mature and wise, and he understands the importance of seizing opportunities and not taking things for granted.
“I think I was a young guy back then, but thank God, God has given me another opportunity to have a second shot at my life.
“That’s why I don’t take things lightly because back then, there were other people who were affected or involved, so I don’t want to make it seem like I was a saint and someone else was bad.
“I think that at some point in my life, I should have paid more attention to my career than anything else. I shouldn’t have married then,” Kwabena Kwabena said.
