Former President John Dramani Mahama said it was divine intervention for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to have lost the 2020 elections
He said that it was divine intervention that led to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) losing the 2020 elections. Speaking at a campaign tour at Amazing Hotel in Zebilla, Upper East Region, Mr. Mahama said that if they had won, they would have found it difficult because of a “big hole” dug by the Akufo-Addo-led government.
He added that God had said, “NDC, stand aside. Let those who dug their hole fall into the hole. And today, they have fallen deep into the hole.”
Mr. Mahama is currently on a campaign tour, canvassing for votes ahead of this month’s presidential primaries. He is seeking to lead the NDC for the fourth time into elections.
Mr. Mahama insisted on Tuesday, May 2 that 2024 “will be a different election”, pointing out how the branch executives will be leading the charge. He also expressed optimism about the recent poll by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), saying they have come good with their predictions in the past and he is sure the NDC will emerge victorious in 2024.
