Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has set his sights on signing Atalanta sensation Rasmus Hojlund and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane in the next summer transfer window, The Times reports.
The Red Devils are looking for a new striker to lead their line in the future. They have identified the Spurs captain as their main target, who has been prolific for the London club over the years.
However, the Dutch manager also wants to bring in ‘a rising star’ in the forward position. That is why he is keen on the Danish youngster, who could cost around £40 million.
Kane is a proven finisher. The 29-year-old has been the main man for Spurs and has carried their scoring burden. He has continued to impress for the North London outfit this season.
Meanwhile, Hojlund is a player with huge potential. The 20-year-old joined Atalanta in the summer of 2022. He has been a key performer for La Dea this term.
The 20-year-old has also displayed his skills on the international level in recent times. He has featured in 31 games in all competitions for the Bergamo-based side, netting eight goals and setting up three more.
United only have two natural strikers in their squad in Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst. Sadly, Ten Hag has not been able to count on either of them.
The Frenchman has struggled with injuries this season. On the other hand, the Burnley loanee will go back to his parent club at the end of the season.
