Barcelona face a lot of changes after winning the La Liga title this week. Many of their players don’t know if they will stay at the club next season.
The club’s main goal, and the only one they have openly stated, is to bring back Lionel Messi on a free transfer this summer. The Argentine star’s influence, both on and off the pitch, will affect other players in the squad.
Joan Fontes, from Bar Canaletes, said that there is a big chance that Raphinha, the Brazilian winger, will be one of the players that Barcelona will try to sell this summer if Messi comes.
The latest reports about the Brazilian are that he will stay at the club, but if Messi joins, he might not be needed anymore, depending on how Xavi Hernandez sets up the team.
Xavi prefers Ousmane Dembele on the right wing, but he might also use Messi there, or change Barcelona’s formation. If he does that, there might not be room for a right-sided winger, which is the only position that Raphinha wants to play.
