MTN Ghana CEO No Momo Loss for Unregistered SIM Cards

MTN Ghana’s CEO, Selorm Adadevoh, has given an assurance that subscribers who fail to re-register their SIM cards by the deadline will still have access to their mobile money (momo) accounts.

He said that such subscribers will be given instructions on how to access their funds later. The SIM card re-registration exercise was supposed to end on May 31, 2023.

In an interview with Joy Business, Mr. Adadevoh said that customers who have funds on their deactivated SIM cards will be allowed to retrieve them after some time.

He said that such accounts will be considered dormant but customers will be able to access them anytime with the required identity card.
