NDC confident of Quayson’s victory in Assin North by-election

NDC confident of Quaysons victory in Assin North by election

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described James Gyakye Quayson as the “Assin North Messiah” who has brought development and prosperity to the constituency.

The party’s Deputy Communications Officer for Assin North, Apaah Martin, expressed confidence that Quayson would emerge victorious in the upcoming by-election with a huge margin because he has delivered on his promises to the people.

Martin said that the recent road works initiated by the government at Assin Bereku would not influence the voters’ decision because they had already made up their minds to vote for Quayson.

“They have started working on the road now that we are approaching the by-election. It is not bad, but we are telling them that whether they work on the road or not, the people of Assin North have already decided,” Martin said.

He also wondered whether the road works would be completed after the by-election.

Martin said that Quayson garnered more than 17,000 votes in the 2020 general election, beating his opponent who had 14,000 votes. He added that the NDC had set a target of securing 29,000 votes for Quayson in the by-election because he had done a lot for Assin North.
