The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Eastern Regional qualifiers kicked off with a nail-biting clash between two Presbyterian schools, Nkwatia Presby Senior High School and Osino Presby Senior High Technical School.
The match was decided by the tie-breaker round, where Nkwatia Presby SHS showed their superior skills and speed by solving two riddles correctly.
The contest was tight throughout, with both schools putting up a strong fight until the last round of questions, where Nkwatia Presby SHS pulled ahead and secured their victory.
With this win, Nkwatia Presbyterian SHS advances to the national and regional championship of the NSMQ.
