Police officer killed in bullion van robbery at Ablekuma

The officer, identified as Amoah by his name tag, was escorting bankers in a pickup vehicle when four armed men attacked them on Thursday, June 22, 2023.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers followed the bullion van until it stopped at the Finest Oil Filling Station Agbajena, Ablekuma, where they opened fire and looted the money.

The driver of the pickup vehicle was nowhere to be found at the scene of the crime, a report said.

The police have launched a manhunt for the culprits and expressed their condolences to the bereaved family

The Police are on a manhunt to arrest a gang of four robbers who attacked a bullion van at Ablekuma Fanmilk, a suburb of Accra and shot the Police escort who has unfortunately passed on.
