Police seek help to nab wounded landguards in Bortianor

The public, especially those living in Bortianor in the Greater Accra Region, have been asked by the police to “report any individuals with gunshot wounds who may be seeking medical treatment”.

This follows a gun battle on Thursday, June 8 between officers of the anti-robbery and anti-landguard unit and some suspected landguards who had been terrorising residents and landowners in Bortianor and its surroundings.

The police said that when they visited the area for an operation targeting criminal elements involved in robbery and landguard activities, the suspects fired at them from their hideout.
