Residents of Kukuo in Tamale clash with security forces over school wall project

The youth of Kukuo, a community in the Tamale metropolis, have threatened to demolish a wall project that is being funded by the Alumni Association of Ghana Senior High School. The wall project is meant to secure the school premises from encroachment and vandalism.

However, the residents of Kukuo are opposed to the project, claiming that it will block their access to the only water source in the area. They have been resisting the project for over a decade, and have recently attacked some security personnel who were guarding the site.

The police and the military have deployed a joint team to the school to protect the project and maintain law and order. They have also arrested six suspects who were involved in the attack.

The security team has warned that they will not tolerate any interference with the project or the school activities, and will deal decisively with any troublemakers.
