A Honda Civic car has been seized by the Accra High Court as evidence in a sexual harassment case involving a former national service personnel of First Atlantic Bank and its Chief Finance Officer.
The plaintiff, Seyram Adablah, sued the defendant, Ernest Nimako, in January for failing to honour a promise to buy her a car, pay her rent for three years, give her a monthly allowance of GHS3,000 and marry her after divorcing his wife.
She also claimed that he was supposed to give her a lump sum to start her own business. The car became a bone of contention after the defendant registered it in his own name.
On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu ruled that the car with registration number GC 7899-21 should be kept at the Registry of the High Court until the case is resolved.
She also ordered the defendant to submit all the documents of the Honda Civic.
The defendant’s lawyer asked the court to restrain the plaintiff from damaging his reputation through posts on social media platforms. He alleged that Ms. Adablah was posting videos, pictures, and materials on TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.
The plaintiff’s lawyer denied the allegations, saying that the posts were made before she filed the suit.
The judge instructed both parties to stop “posting any videos, pictures, and materials on social media and traditional media which has the ten
