A fatal crash at Bono Manso in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region claimed the lives of three people on Friday night, May 19, 2023.
The collision occurred around 11 p.m. between a Kia Granbird bus with registration number AK 285-22 carrying passengers from the North and a trailer vehicle with registration number AS 4766 transporting Malta Guinness products from Accra to the Northern part of the country.
According to the Techiman Municipal Fire Service Commander, DOIII Henry Eshun, 3 people died in the fire that engulfed the vehicles while 23 others were injured.
He said 11 of the injured are being treated at the Techiman Holy Family Hospital and 12 are at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital.
He added that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash.
