A viral video shows how Fuse ODG, a popular Ghanaian-British rapper, was brutally arrested and dragged out of his car by UK police for allegedly “smelling of cannabis”.
The video, which he posted on his Instagram account, shows Fuse ODG resisting the officers and asking them if they had a warrant. He was with a business partner at the time of the incident.
The rapper said that the incident was a case of racial profiling by UK law enforcers.
The police claimed that they handcuffed him to stop him from hurting himself by possibly ingesting drugs.
Fuse ODG said that he spent six hours in the hospital due to the tightness of the handcuffs and suffered neck and back pain for weeks after the incident.
He added that many people in the UK face similar situations, even after the global outrage over the George Floyd case.
Fuse is famous for his songs “Antenna” and “Dangerous Love”, and for collaborating with Major Lazer on “Light It Up”.
