West Africa’s impact investing leaders will gather in Accra, Ghana and online on May 16th and 17th, 2023 for the 1st West Africa Deal Summit and 2nd Ghana Impact Summit.
The event, hosted by Impact Investing Ghana (IIGh) and Nigeria National Advisory Board for Impact Investing (Nigeria NABII), along with impact investing taskforces from Burkina Faso and Senegal, aims to mobilize catalytic capital for the region’s social and environmental transformation and economic recovery.
The summit will showcase local impact funds and businesses, share best practices and insights, and facilitate partnerships among global and regional investors.
The summit will also launch two innovative programs: Deal Source Africa, which will connect investors and transaction advisors with local impact funds and businesses; and Catalytic Capital Africa, which will support catalytic capital providers such as foundations, family offices, international development agencies, and development finance institutions to invest in ways that strengthen the local financing ecosystem across Africa.
Additionally, the summit will offer study tours to Nigeria and other West African countries on May 18th and 19th, 2023 as a post-summit activity for participants to explore the dynamic and growing SMEs and financing sector in West Africa.
