Microsoft has launched a new Friend Referral program for Xbox Game Pass, which allows subscribers to invite up to five friends to try PC Game Pass for free for 14 days. The program is available to both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, and invites can be sent via Xbox consoles or the Xbox app on Windows.
To redeem a friend referral, the recipient must be a new subscriber to PC Game Pass. Once they have redeemed the invite, they will have access to the same library of games as regular PC Game Pass subscribers, including all first-party Xbox titles on day one, an EA Play standard membership, and Riot Games benefits on its free-to-play titles.
The Friend Referral program is one of the ways that Microsoft is looking to attract new subscribers to Xbox Game Pass.
The company has also said that it is working on a family plan for Xbox Game Pass, which would allow multiple users to share a single subscription.
