Young Thug posted a cryptic QR Code on Instagram that links to a countdown website

Young Thug and his producer friends have sparked speculation about a new project dropping soon with a mysterious QR code.

The Atlanta rapper took to Instagram on Thursday night (Jun. 16) to share a QR code that leads to a countdown website. The timer seems to indicate that something will be released next Friday. He also wrote “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS” in the caption.

He was not alone in posting the QR code. Several producers who have worked with Young Thug in the past also shared the same image on their accounts. Metro Boomin, London On Da Track, Southside, Wheezy, and Chase B all joined in on the tease, adding their own emojis or captions.

Fans are wondering if Young Thug is preparing to drop a new album with his producer collaborators. The rapper is currently facing RICO charges along with his YSL associates and is awaiting trial. He has not released a solo project since 2019’s So Much Fun.

Meanwhile, his former YSL partner Gunna dropped his first album since getting out of jail on Friday (Jun. 16). The album, titled A Gift & a Curse, features several shout-outs to Young Thug. On “I Was Just Thinking”, Gunna raps “Only I done cried, ‘cause this feelin’ for my bro (King Slime)”. On “Ca$h $hit”, he says “Hide the barrel, man, free my bro Jeffro.”
